You can now catch the full lineup of audio and visual artists at the quintessential 8-bit music festival in New York from May 19-21. Of special interest to the demoscene are Ctrix (.au, Syntax Party), 4mat (.uk, Ate Bit), and Ultrasyd (.fr, Brainstorm). Seriously, if you have any tolerance for loud chip music and you like to have fun, do not miss this.

Blip Festival 2011 – May 19-21, New York NY

For those who feared another December blizzard, rejoice! The original New York 8-bit music festival, which has since spawned Europe and Japan editions, returns to Eyebeam artspace in Manhattan for three days in the late spring, May 19th-21st. It will feature the usual onslaught of music performances, along with VJs, workshops, and presentations. Lineup is forthcoming.

Blip Festival is back for its fourth year, brought to you by 8bitpeoples and The Tank, and returning to the Bell House in Brooklyn NY this December. The website is up as well as a partial list of performers (over a dozen musicians and video artists so far, and at least a dozen more expected). Get ready for one of the wildest chip music experiences in the world!

Blip Festival 2008 schedule announced

The third edition of the world’s largest 8-bit/chip music festival will take place at The Bell House in New York city from December 4th-7th, 2008. Over 30 musicians and VJs have been scheduled on the lineup spread over four nights. Of interest to the demoscene this year are Dubmood (Razor 1911) and Syphus (UpRough, BDSE). Also, I (Phoenix) will return on Saturday the 6th at noon to start off the workshop segment with another hour-long, all 8-bit demo show, featuring the latest from the C64, Vic20, and Atari 2600 & XL, and some other obscure platforms including homemade concoctions.
